On Saturday, September 20, 2025, Golden Community hosted Serve Cincinnati ’25, our biggest event of the year. Together with the Cincinnati chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace, 138 volunteers built 100 beds for 100 local kids in a single day at Tri-County Baptist Church in West Chester.
Volunteers worked in assembly-line stations, sawing, sanding, drilling, staining and branding raw lumber into finished bunk beds. No experience was needed, just a willingness to jump in. Between sessions everyone enjoyed a catered lunch and games.
Too many children in our city sleep on the floor or share a bed. Each bed built that day goes to a local child, giving them comfort, dignity and a good night’s rest. A bedding drive also let friends who could not attend help make sure every bed went out ready to use.
Thank you to every volunteer, family and partner who made the day possible. Serve Cincinnati 2026 is coming up on November 7. Learn more and register.
