In 2025 Golden Community served in five cities across two countries. Here are the highlights from Cincinnati, Raleigh, Des Moines, Kanpur and Hyderabad.
Cincinnati
City Gospel Mission
Our team prepared and served lunch at City Gospel Mission three times this year, in January, April and July.
The Healing Center
In February we ran a clothing drive at our Glendale office and delivered 20 large bags of clothing and shoes for families in need, then toured The Healing Center to see how they serve with dignity. In May we were back to count, sort and prep donations, and in November we served at their Harvest of Hope Thanksgiving meal.
Serve Cincinnati ’25
In September, 138 volunteers built 100 beds for 100 local kids with Sleep in Heavenly Peace. Read the full recap.
Midwestern Children’s Home
Our December gift registry drive provided Christmas gifts for 25 children and 6 house families at Midwestern Children’s Home.
Raleigh
The Raleigh team spent time connecting with and supporting women at The Women’s Center in February and again in September. In June they helped The Green Chair Project furnish homes for families moving out of homelessness. In December they served at The Women’s Center and provided tents for women experiencing homelessness.
Des Moines
In March our Des Moines team took part in a crisis response training event with City Serve.
Kanpur
In May the Kanpur team visited an old age home, sharing conversation, stories and laughter with residents. In September they served at the Dogitorium animal shelter, providing food and care for animals in need.
Hyderabad
In December the Hyderabad team served at Care & Love Orphanage and brought gifts for the children.
