Hello Golden Community Family!
This year we have done 2 events for the South West Ohio Special Olympics team, and we are excited to be doing our 3rd event with them for the year on October 14th!! We want to invite you in on the fun!!
A large part of what the Special Olympics does is to invite individuals who have mental and/or physical disabilities to join the Special Olympics to help them overcome loneliness that many of them struggle with as a result of their challenges. The Special Olympics provides a platform where these special peeps can connect with others, as well as make it easier logistically for them to get to events and social gatherings as they often are not capable of getting around by themselves.
On October 14th the Special Olympics will be hosting a fun induction day to engage with these individuals and to educate them about what the Special Olympics is doing, to drive participation and engagement with them. We will be providing lunch and guiding the participants through activities to ensure a safe and fun day is had!

Time: 9:30am-2pm
Location: Council Bluff Shelter, Sharon Woods, 11450 Lebanon Road, Sharonville, OH 45241.
What: Serving the disabled community by helping them connect with the Special Olympics to be in a rich and welcoming community.
Dress: Clothes suitable to be outside and active in.
Food: Food and refreshments will be provided by Golden Community.
