November 15th City Gospel Mission Serving Opportunity

Hello Golden Community Family!

One of the organizations that is doing some of the most meaningful work in the city of Cincinnati is, City Gospel Mission.

We have had a number of really good servings days there this year, and we want to have one last one for the year by helping them out with their “Thanksgiving Exchange”.

Volunteers help set up and run the Thanksgiving grocery store for families in need.

The Thanksgiving Exchange is a grocery store where low-income families shop for their own Thanksgiving groceries at a very low price that they can afford.

Location: Westwood First Presbyterian Church

What volunteers do:
- Help set up the store and prepare for shoppers
- Sort donated grocery items
- Stock shelves
- Assist shoppers with their selections
- Help bag groceries, assist with
carrying groceries to cars
- Assist in the hospitality room where our shoppers wait to shop

Date: November 15th

Time: 9:00am-12pm

Location: Westwood First Presbyterian Church, 3326 Koenig Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45211

Dress: Layer up. It might be cold on arrival, but as we are working we will likely warm up and need to be in cooler clothing.

Food: Lunch will be served back at the office.
