Hello Golden Community Family!
We SOOOOOOO excited to share a collaboration that Golden Community is going to have to serve the Special Olympics South Western Ohio Team!!!
The organization is really needing volunteers who know how to ski as part of their winter games initiative. If you know how to ski with moderate competency you can help!! The serving opportunity is to help aspiring athletes from the Special Olympics team who are ongoingly learning how to ski with pointers on skiing in preparation for their competitions. Reaffirming the basics and some additional pointers is hugely helpful to our special needs friends who might forget certain things some of us retain for a bit longer.
This is going to be such a special serving opportunity, and we really hope that those of you who are able to ski can join us on January 9th from 8:30 am-12:30 pm!!
Check out the awesome video with Debi and Daniel from the Special Olympics leadership team!
