David Vermaak: Hi there guys, I want to introduce you to our good friend Ryan Yates here from Block Ministries.

Golden Community is looking at doing a service project here at Bloc Ministries, downtown Cincinnati, here in Price Hill.

Ryan, can you tell us a little bit about Bloc Ministries and what you guys are doing?

Ryan Yates: Yeah, so our mission at Bloc Ministries is to create safe spaces that are foundational for life-changing relationships, that lead kids and their families into dependence on Jesus.

We're super passionate about safe spaces because often in the communities that we work there are high crime rates, there's prostitution, there are drugs.

And we want to create spaces where kids can be kids, and where families have the experience or the opportunity to experience what family should look like.

We're super passionate about relationships and we believe that relationships are really what drives true life change.

So we want to make sure that we create spaces where we can have those life-changing deep intentional relationships.

And then we're passionate about Jesus and we believe that lives are made better and that we're able to live more fulfilled lives when we're dependent on him. That's really why we do what we do.

Practically what that looks like, as we are in spaces, it looks somewhat like this; where we are able to play games with kids, we're able to have conversations with kids, and we're able to just be families to the families we serve.

David Vermaak: Awesome!

Brian Marcum: Yeah, so as you may remember last year we did a project just right next door for a study room for after-school care that would allow internet access for people to come and do their homework during the middle of Covid.

At that time we partnered with DWK Construction and we're so excited about doing that again to where DWK Construction, Golden Technology, and Golden Community are gathered together to renovate this room right here.

This is the heart of the after-school program for Price Hill and for Bloc Ministries.

So I'm reaching out to all of our consultants, to all of our employees, w-2, corp to corp, I don't care ... but we need your help.

We need your help to come down and help us paint, help us clean, help us just renovate this area together.

So stay tuned for future dates and times for when that's gonna happen, but yeah. I'm looking forward to seeing some of you join us in the next couple of months

David Vermaak: Looking forward to working with you guys. See you soon. Cheers!
